Cheapest Smartphone of the World, Freedom 251 @ Just Rs. 251


Domestic Manufacturer Ringing Bells has launched its ultra-affordable Flagship Named the Freedom 251 in India.

Priced at Rs 251 (less than $4), it is India’s and perhaps the world’s most affordable smartphone.

Pre-orders for the smartphone will open on the Company’s Website at 6 am on February 18th and will continue until 8 pm on February 21st.

The official launch event of the device will take place in New Delhi later today.

Specifications:

-4-inch IPS Display (resolution 960 x 540 pixels)

-The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop

-Comes with some pre-loaded Apps like – Woman Safety, Swachh Bharat, Fisherman, Farmer, Medical, WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube among others.

-It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.

-It has 8GB of internal memory, and gets a microSD card slot to expand the storage further up to 32GB.

-It has 3.2MP primary Camera and a 0.3MP front Camera

-It supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

-It comes with a 1,450mAh battery

The smartphone comes with a 1 year-warranty, and is supported by 650 service centres across the country.

Pre-ordered units of the phone will be delivered by June 30th.
