Official ScreenShot of the Xiaomi Mi 5 confirms full HD display, NFC and dual-SIM

The Mi 5 will allegedly offer a 16MP/8MP camera, a fingerprint sensor, and a 3,600mAh battery
Xiaomi’s co-founder and Senior VP, Liwan Jing recently revealed that brand’s latest flagship, the Mi 5 will be unveiled on February 24th, and will go on sale in China after a week later.

Now the Company’s VP, Hugo Barra has posted a screenshot of the Mi 5’s screenshot on Twitter and Facebook, giving us a glimpse of a few features of the smartphone.

The ScreenShot shared by Barra features a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which confirms that one of the phone’s editions will sport a full HD display.

The picture shows dual-SIM cards – one of them on 4G and the other on CDMA 1x networks, which would be China specific.


The NFC icon in the notification bar confirms the presence of Near Field Communication connectivity on the device.

According to reports, Xiaomi will be opting for a hybrid dual-SIM setup on the Mi 5, allowing one of the SIM card slots to be used as a microSD card slot.
There will be reportedly two variants of the Mi 5 – one with a metal body and 1080p display and the other with a more premium glass design and a QHD (2K) display.

As per the rumours, the Mi 5 will offer:
  1. A fingerprint sensor
  2. An IR Blaster
  3. A 16MP rear snapper with an LED flash and laser autofocus with 8MP selfie snapper
  4. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor
  5. With 3GB of RAM and 4GB RAM variants
  6. And a 3,600mAh battery

A recently leaked retail box of the device suggests that it will be launched in Gold, Pink, White and Black hues.


The Company is also rumoured to launch a Windows 10 variant of the Mi 5, which will offer identical innards to the Android version.
